Garden Grove’s Commitment to Small Business Growth

Garden Grove’s Commitment to Small Business Growth

Garden Grove has long recognized the vital role small businesses play in shaping the city’s economic landscape. To bolster this sector, the city has introduced several initiatives aimed at providing financial assistance and resources to local entrepreneurs.

Grow Garden Grove Fund

In December 2025, the city launched the Grow Garden Grove Fund, a small business loan program designed to expand access to capital for local businesses. This program offers flexible financing options for enterprises that may not qualify for traditional bank loans, supporting uses such as business expansion, working capital, equipment purchases, and job creation.

MicroBiz Program

Complementing the Grow Garden Grove Fund is the MicroBiz Program, established to stimulate economic growth through business assistance and expansion activities for microenterprises. This program provides technical assistance to businesses with five or fewer employees, helping them scale operations and enhance their presence in the market. Eligible businesses can apply for financial assistance up to $50,000 to support expansion and job creation efforts.

Strategic Economic Development

These initiatives align with Garden Grove’s Strategic Plan, which focuses on increasing the city’s tax base, creating and retaining jobs, addressing sales tax leakage, and diversifying the sales tax base. By investing in small businesses, the city aims to foster a robust and resilient local economy.
